Sunday, September 26th, belonged to the runners! In total, over 10,000 participants took part that day in the 43rd Warsaw Marathon, in the 15th Warsaw Half Marathon and in other runs accompanying the marathon, which was once again the most important running event in the country. Shegumo Yared was the winner of the royal distance, covering the distance of 42 km 195 m in 02:14:37. Andrzejczak Monika triumphed among the ladies with a time of 02:31:08. This year's Warsaw Marathon, for the first time in history, was also the arena of competition for the Deaf World Marathon Championship. Among the ladies, the German Alder-Baerens Nele won with a time of 02:53:41, breaking the World Championship record. The Czech Stanovsky Michal triumphed among the men with a time of 02:29:40.
