In Warsaw, at the invitation of the Masovian Voivodeship Local Government, she hosted children from Ukraine whose parents died or are fighting in defense of the country. As part of the "Mazovia for Ukraine" project, a hundred Ukrainian children spent two weeks in Mazovia.
The parents of most of these children died while fighting in defense of the country or are disabled. – Children who spent their holidays are traumatized by the war. They have seen their loved ones die, become homeless as a result of the bombing, or are unable to continue their education at school. The most terrifying images we see on TV are part of their everyday lives. Since the outbreak of the war, they have been living in fear and uncertainty. The stay in Masovia was supposed to restore the children's faith that a normal world exists and that the war will end. Two weeks of holidays are a return to carefreeness, because joy and fun should be the main experience of childhood, not fear, pain and despair.
