At this year's Barbórka Legends, rally fans saw Leszek Kuzaj – one of the biggest stars in the history of Polish rallying. The multiple Polish rally champion from the 2000s returns to the wheel to take part in the iconic December event that closes the motorsport season. Kuzaj, considered one of the most charismatic rally drivers, promised a great show and plenty of excitement. He drove a Skoda Fabia in Top Racing colors.
Saturday, December 13th, traditionally opened the racing portion of the 63rd AVIA UNIMOT Barbórka Rally with the thrilling SS1 Tor Modlin – the first points-winning special stage of this year's event. The Modlin Tor is a fast and technical 6 km test, combining track-based character with stage elements, including a spectacular jump and challenging, unforgiving corners.
On the challenging course at the Modlin Circuit, the fastest time was achieved by the Miko Marczyk / Szymon Gospodarczyk crew, driving the well-known and highly developed Škoda Fabia RS Rally2. Marczyk and Gospodarczyk, starting with the number 1 starting position, demonstrated class and confidence from the very first kilometer, taking the overall lead after the first stage.
On the Bemowo Autodrome, one of the most important stages of Saturday's program, the drivers once again demonstrated their determination and precision. Marczyk and Gospodarczyk not only defended their lead but also systematically extended their advantage.
